Because it's still February

February is one of my favorite months because of the focus on love and hearts and pink and frills. I've always been a hopeless romantic, and luckily so has Eric. It's a nice partnership. One of the reasons I was bred into such a hopeless romantic is CHICK-FLICKS. I LOVE them. So in honor of this month I thought I would post on some of my favorites.

1. Win a Date with Tad Hamilton

Haven't heard of it? Yeah somehow it didn't really make it on the map. But it stars Kate Bosworth, who I think is adorable, and a very cute Topher Grace. This is my favorite CF to recommend to people.

2. Never Been Kissed

I think one of the main reasons this is a favorite is because when I was a junior in college we looped the end kiss scene on my DVD player and let it repeat itself over and over and over and over and get the idea. Plus Michael cute.

3. Emma

Sigh. So good. Love the cinematography and love Gwenyth Paltrow. Love the characters. Love everything about this movie.

4. Clueless

So it's no surprise that if I love Emma, I would love this modern day version. Plus Eric really enjoys it. And it's just funny and quirky and I love the resolution. A feel good CF.

5. 27 Dresses

I'm quite mad at the secondary characters in this movie, because they make it a very crass PG-13 movie. So get clear-play, and you're in. Every scene with James Marsden=GOLDEN.

6. While You Were Sleeping
Sandra Bullock used to be a fav of mine. Well, and this whole movie--it almost isn't a CF since it's such a comedy. But I just love the way Lucy and Jack fall in love, um, while you were sleeping.

7. Anastasia

I think that this is the most attractive animated couple in all of animation. And no, it's not really a CF...but if you're looking for a gorgeous it is.

8. Pride and Prejudice: A Latter-Day Comedy

Kam Weston, adorable. Darcy (I don't know his real name) may not be attractive to some of my friends (*cough* ADRI *cough*) but I think he's adorable. Plus...I'm an extra in 3 scenes. How could I NOT love this CF?

I think that's good for now. I of course also love A Cinderella Story, Sweethome Alabama, Princess Diaries 2, Just Like Heaven, and A Walk to Remember (No I did not see it in the theater 4 times!)

Got any gems of a CF recommendation for me???

What we d-'ed'

After our "it's coming" post, I surely hope that we do not disappoint--because it is here. Our Christmas re-cap. And here is why we had to hold it in such suspense: Our family pretty much had the greatest Christmas break in the history of Christmas breaks...It was so wonderful that while we were in the midst of the break my sister Krista was heard to say, "This is like some amazing retreat that you go on in the 6th grade and do amazing things 24/7" Before the break finished we (a family with 6 strong bloggers) anticipated the amazing blog posts that would have to go on for years to cover all that we did.
And then it was over, and then time kept going, and then no one blogged, and then it became the family joke that our amazing Christmas would go un-recorded.

Well guess what family! (And other blog readers) HERE IT IS!!
And I thought I was so clever...what we did, became what we d-'ed': Exercised

Seven Falls-ed
Christmas Morning-ed
(how does a 1 1/2 year old know to wake up super early and super excited on Christmas?)
(Jamie was Kevin from "The Office" episode that we made for my Dad's present)
(Brooke unlocked while we bowled...we just don't have bowling pics)
Gifted. Or spoiled.
North Carolina Barbequed
(My sister eats sugar only 1 day a year!)

(Check out that pregnant Mary!)
(twice, pneumesmatic (that means coins) and history!)
Family Pictured
Hair doo-ed
(That's me and my dad New Year's Day! I think I got 272nd!)
Chuck E. Cheesed
(if you know my dad, this will not surprise you)
Not to mention these wonderful activities I don't have pictures of (FAMILY! Why don't I have pictures of this!)
Wild Bill's Buffalo Wings-ed
Roy family Christmas Challenged
House Hunted
So there you have it.

Reason #357 why I love Monroe

We were on a Sunday drive today (we may or may not have been trying to guess who was having Super Bowl parties by the number of cars in the street) and out on one of the fence posts in someones field sat a BALD EAGLE. A real live 100% American BALD EAGLE. How cool is that? I was overly obsessed. And proud to be an American...what a cool bird! Honestly, when was the last time you drove by a bald eagle in your town? MONROE = WONDERFUL. It still hasn't worn off :)
