Sunday Seven

Because Charina is a genius, seven on Sunday should be a rule. So here are 7 pictures from our recent past!
This is driving home to Monroe on President's Day. It's impossible to accurately capture night lights on a phone camera, but you can tell that there was MILES of continuous north bound lights. It was cracking us up.  All of the 3 day weekenders heading back to Provo from Las Vegas and St. George.
Such a good temple visit! We were able to do 2 family file sealings, one of which brought the sealer to tears. Pretty amazing.
Jamie and kiddos came for a visit! We always love visitors!!!! We had a perfect spring day hike (except for the 30 minutes when I was certain I would have to call search and rescue to find my lost and alone shed hunting husband)(thankfully he showed up seconds before I began to call for outside help. Jamie was lovely in assuring me he was fine). Anyway, those are little children running ahead of us on the trail.
This is just a cool place that I live by.
Eric and I went to see The Drifters at the SVC. We didn't know who they were, but we knew we'd have fun. Then they opened the concert with "This Magic Moment" and we flipped out because then we knew who they were! Eric knew all but one song they did. It was SOOOOO fun.
CharlyAnn got her dance costumes this week. I died. How cute is she???
Other than that our life is great! Eric has been plagued with some weird illness that prescriptions haven't helped the past 3 weeks, but he is the best and troops along even though he should be in bed! And I watch 11 kids a day at least once a week. This feels crazy, but I'm good with crazy! And the best part of our lives is that SPRING IS COMING. YES!

Check the weather before you shed hunt!

On Monday we thought we'd venture up into our little canyon to shed hunt. It had been beautiful all weekend, so we assumed more beauty was in our future! Our hike started out with blue skies and warm sunshine. We had fun looking for sheds and hiking, then we noticed two storms coming from different directions as we started back home. Pretty soon the wind picked up, clouds rolled in and the temperature dropped. We decided to run home! And a good thing too, as soon as we hit the pavement behind our house the snow came! It was a wonderful adventure-even if we found no sheds!

Ram wrestles!

Oh me oh my. We live in a basketball house, so wrestling was not something I thought would happen. But Ram brought home a flyer for wrestling and has never been more excited about something! Today was his first tournament, and we were fish out of water. It was wild and crazy-there were 8 mats and boys and parents everywhere, yet it was all very efficient. And I have never seen more boys crying at one time! (But not Ram!) They did a little 4 man round robin for Ram's weight class (41-45 lbs), so Ram wrestled 3 times. He got pinned his first match (admittedly the dad said he didn't think it was a pin, but who cares! Ram loved it anyway!) Then he won his 2nd match 8-6 and his 3rd match was against his best friend, and they tied 6-6 at the end of regulation, so they went to overtime and Ram got the take down, so won that one! Which meant he got 2nd overall! It was great and I was a yelling mother! He LOVED it. He just wanted to keep wrestling, and when Eric was putting him to bed tonight he said,  "Dad, how come wrestling can't be on all the days but Sunday?" I'm sure a fan!
You can observe all the craziness in the background.

Day 11 of LOVE!

I love untangling! Have I shared this one before? If I did, I probably didn't have as many epic untangling pictures! I love the intense focus need to untangle. I love the stretches of not mess that give you hope for the mess. I love when you make progress. I love the analytic and logic thinking required. I love the challenge to not give up. And I love the feeling of success when you untangle it all! (My dream RS activity-come roll all of this yarn into balls of yarn. Yes, please!)

Day 10 of LOVE!

I love my maxi skirts! I know I'm late to the game in wearing these things, but I'm never one to really go with the trends anyway. But I'm glad i got on the train before they vanished from family dollar, because these things are the best! They fit any size (mine changes often), they make you feel dressed up, but they are so comfy! Win, win, win! I own 5, and I love them all!

Day 8 of LOVE!

I love my house socks! I don't love that I have to wear them, but I'd rather have warm feet than cold, cracked feet, so these are a pretty groovy way to get the job done! The great thing about these, is that they were a Christmas gift from Merilee, who I definitely love. She got our whole family socks one year, and at the time I thought it was kind of random-but Merilee always knows best, because these guys are my winter pals! Here's the things I love: a)purple b)fluffy c)little floor pads-makes them official house socks d)Utah and a crown, which only show inside out normally. Love!

Day 7 of LOVE!

I love vitamin water XXX! This love was developed in two parts. First of all, when we lived in Wyview the little creamery there got vitamin waters when they were a new thing and so we tried them and I quite fell in love with them (I've always loved "special drinks" as we call them, and all the flavors were new and delicious). Once we moved I didn't really have them again until Costa Vida came into our lives. They have XXX vitamin water on tap...oh my heart. There is nothing better than a sweet pork burrito and XXX! It is as yummy as it comes and I love it!

Day 6 of LOVE!

I never get tired of saying this one...I LOVE when our drill team wins state!   And this year was our first 3-peat in at least 16 years, and we swept the competition! Plus, Eric and I got to enjoy the day sans kiddos (thanks m&d), so bonus!

Day 5 of LOVE!

As surprising as it may be to hear these words in the same sentence, I will use them anyway: I love these wrinkles! Those 2 most prominent ones at the top of my nose leading into my forehead are awesome. I don't know exactly how this love was formed, but formed it did! My absolute favorite is during cross country season when I wrinkle my forehead to keep the sun glare down,  so I get a wrinkle tan, and I have a little tan line when I'm not wrinkled. I love it!

Day 4 of LOVE!

I love my new Ninja blender! My wonderful friend Ashley gave us a hot chocolate machine for Christmas. Unfortunately we already had one, so she said return it to Wal-Mart and get something else! So I felt great about getting this guy! He is so wonderful. My old blender was the $20 version, and it was useless anymore. Now I have Ninja and we have shakes and smoothies all the time! We all love it!

Day 3 of LOVE!

First of all, I love nachos-but that's not what this post is solely about. What I really love is half chips when eating nachos. I will shuffle through the entire gathering of chips and find all the broken chips. My favorite kinds are about 5/8ths of a circle chip. And when I've found all the pieces, and only whole chips are left, you better believe I love partial chips enough to break them in half!

Day 2 of LOVE!

I love a car heater. You get into your car when it's freezing, and you turn the heat on full blast, and (when you're sitting up front) that air blows at you so hot and so hard and it is awesome. It works so good, that you are soon over heated, so you turn it off, and instead of the car maintaining a nice warm temperature, it cools off so fast you have to turn the heat back on-and you love it all over again!

Day 1 of LOVE!

It's that wonderful time of year again when I bear my soul and all that it loves!
I love falling snow! I don't necessarily love fallen snow, but to sit and watch it coming out of the sky and falling onto the ground-I love it!
(This falling snow ended up lasting forever!)
